travel in November 14 from Canada to the Caribbean passport expire May 14, 2017 coming back I’ll return on May 1, 2017

Whether or not you have to renew your passport for this trip depends upon what countries you are going to. Many if not most of the countries will allow you in because your passport expires before you leave (though you will need to provide proof that you are leaving before it expires, such as a return ticket).

However, some of the countries you are visiting may require 3 months validity or six months validity beyond your date of entry or even your date of departure.
