My mother was born in England in 1933, came to Canada in 1960. I was born in Canada in 1964. Can I apply for a British passport and if so, what do I require? And does my mother still have to have a valid British passport or did she have to give that up in order to be Canadian?
In order to get a British passport, you will first have to register as a British citizen since you were born to a British mother prior to 1983.
