I just found out that I might be Canadian simply because I was born there when my parents were studying. I’ve only had a passport of my parents’ nationality. I have a Canadian birth certificate, does this enable me to apply for a Canadian passport even though I haven’t came back to Canada for over 20 years?
Yes, you can apply for a Canadian passport with your Canadian birth certificate. Your parents must not have been diplomats or diplomatic staff for you to be Canadian.
