How do I go about applying for a Canadian passport if I was born in Quebec and I have been living in Ontario for the past 25 years? Ontario passport office tells me I have to apply in Quebec if I came here before 1994.

You can apply for your Canadian Passport at any ?Passport Canada? location in Canada or submit your details by mail or courier.

When you apply for the passport you must submit proof of Citizenship (a Canadian birth certificate or a certificate of citizenship).

As you were born in the province of Quebec you must submit only a birth certificate or a copy of an act of birth issued after January 1, 1994, by the Director de l’┬état civil of Quebec or a certificate of Canadian citizenship are accepted as proof of Canadian citizenship.
