Can I have 2 Canadian passports? I’m traveling around the world and have to send my passport for visa’s, which will leave me without my passport for 60 days. Can I get a second passport to use during this period? I also have a Nexus card. Can I fly to US from Canada using only my nexus card, without my passport? Part of this site says it’s not advisable while other parts say the Nexus is sufficient. Thanks

You cannot have 2 Canadian Passports. When you apply for a new passport your old passport, if valid is ?void?. As a Canadian Citizen traveling by air to the US you must present either a valid passport or a Nexus Card when used at kiosks in participating airports.

NEXUS is offered at the following airports:

? Halifax Robert L. Stanfield International Airport
? Montr‚al-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport
? Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport*
? Toronto Pearson International Airport
? Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport
? Calgary International Airport
? Edmonton International Airport
? Vancouver International Airport
